The New Zealand import will miss the Torns' July 20 season finale to fly to Japan and Taiwan as she looks to help her country qualify for the 2020 Olympics.
But her Elphin swansong - Saturday's 6.30pm clash with Kilsyth - will see her reacquainted with a notable former St Mary's College teammate.
"She's an amazing player Loz, so we have to do everything we can to try and limit her points," Beck said.
"She's going to score and do good things because that's the player she is, so we have to do our best to limit that, but I'm really excited to see her.
"We spent a few years at college together so it's always really nice to catch up."
Nicholson deserved the plaudits with 40 points on Friday night amid a stunning 102-52 Kilsyth win at Hobart.

Beck has been one of Launceston's shining lights in a tough maiden NBL1 season, averaging nearly 15 points and 10 rebounds a game despite often playing out of position due to Brittany Hodges' ongoing injury struggles.
She has, however, felt right at home with her Launceston host family.
"I've been staying with the Deans - Abbi and Adrian are the parents and the three kids Charlie, Sophie and Oliver and I've enjoyed it so much," Beck said.
"From the second I got there they had open arms and made it really easy and comfortable.
"The three kids are stud athletes, so is Abbi and Adrian coaches footy, so I've been involved in going to watch them play a lot of sport over the time I've been here and everything about them has been amazing."
