The pair, both girls, are the only bilbies in the state, and can be seen by the public now at Tasmania Zoo.
Keeper Maeghan Wealands' hot tip to see the native marsupials is to go as soon as the zoo opens at 9am: " We usually feed them in the mornings, so you can see them out and moving about," she said.
One bilby comes from Adelaide Zoo and the other from Monarto Zoo, also in South Australia.
They are are adjusting to the chilly temperatures even further south thanks to the heat lamps in their enclosure.
While both of the biblies are female, Ms Wealands said the zoo would hugely appreciate the opportunity to be involved in a breeding program if the chance came up.
"They are endangered, and there's lots of work going into releasing bilbies into the wild," she said.
