The 17-year-old Launceston College student achieved untouchable status on the water, achieving nomination for The Examiner's Female Junior Sportsperson of the Year and maintaining an unbeaten record across school, state and national competitions in the under-19s women's single scull category, picking up the Australian championship.
Rowing for the North Esk Rowing Club, the Australian champion didn't let her age deter her as she won the under-21 state title in the single scull discipline, showing her grace and professionalism against experienced athletes up to five years older.
Alongside her North Esk crewmates, Rebecca added two more Tasmanian titles to her name at the King's Cup Centenary State Championships in the under-23 coxless quad scull and coxless four.
Rebecca didn't stop there as she partnered Don College's Abbey Boutcher to a schools championships title and a third place at the Sydney International Rowing Regatta, finishing off a spectacular meet for the powerhouse.
Already hard in training for next year's rowing season, Rebecca is a Tasmanian Institute of Sport high performance scholarship holder and trains 10 to 12 times a week including on-water, cross fit and weights sessions.
