Power outage affects Northern suburbs, tree bark the cause
Tree bark on powerlines caused more than 1160 properties to lose power in Launceston's Northern suburbs on Monday morning.

The bark had blown onto powerlines.
Power was restored about 10.40am.
Properties located at Mayfield, Mowbray, Newnham and Rocherlea are impacted.
TasNetworks apologised for any inconvenience that was caused.
EARLIER:
TasNetworks is investigating the cause of an outage affecting the Northern suburbs.
A total of 1169 properties were impacted.
Residents are urged to check for a restoration time after 10.30am.
