Luke McGregor is the co-creator and star of Rosehaven, along with mainland comedian Celia Pacquola.
The show, set in a tiny Tasmanian town and shot in Geeveston, was recently talked up in The New York Times.

When he accepted the award, McGregor didn't mince words.
"I didn't prepare a speech," he said. "I thought it would be arrogant."
"If you win most popular, who do you thank? Thanks to me, I guess.
"Is that 45 seconds?
"I'm single, see you at the afterparty."
The nominees for Most Popular Actor were Aaron Pedersen (Mystery Road), Guy Pearce (Jack Irish), Luke McGregor (Rosehaven), Ray Meagher (Home And Away), Rodger Corser (Doctor Doctor), and Ryan Moloney (Neighbours).
Pacquola was also nominated, for Most Popular Actress, but lost out to Deborah Mailman.
