Mr Mele will lead a team from Grain of the Silos, where he is food director, to cook up a long table lunch on Sunday, August 4.
The Tassie Scallop Fiesta is in Bridport, and produce to be highlighted throughout includes Scottsdale Pork, Huon ocean trout, fresh North-Eastern vegetables, North Scottsdale rhubarb, Pipers Brook wines, and Little Rivers craft beers - as well as, of course, scallops.
"It's great to have freshness of the local produce show through in a situation like this so we'll be keeping preparation simple," Mr Mele said.
"I'm looking forward to serving up a classic Italian-style feast, informal but top quality."
- Tickets $160, through Eventbrite.
