A quick start by LAUNCESTON CITY was the spark they needed in their 4-2 win over City Marians.
Beau Cornelius was at his best for Launceston, scoring a hat-trick in the process. SOUTH BURNIE ground out a 5-0 win over West Devonport after a slow start to the match. Brent Jago eventually broke through West's defence, led by goalkeeper Zac King in another strong performance, to find the only goal of the first half. In the second half, however, Burnie turned up the heat and found four more goals in a powerful attacking display led by Stuart Bowles and Jayden Taylor.
DEVONPORT produced an upset win against ladder-leaders Burnie Baptist, coming away with a 2-1 victory in the late game. Michael Williams and Callum Dubbeld were unstoppable forces for Devonport, while Khan Riley tried to limit the damage for Baptist.
Tyler Wolfe did his best to score for Baptist but they were unable to convert their chances.
