Searching for just their second away win over North since 2012, the Southern Bombers held their opposition to 0.7 at the southern end of the ground and broke the game apart in the second half with seven goals to two.
The 10.14 (74) to 4.13 (37) scoreline marked North's lowest tally in three years, but coach Taylor Whitford remained positive after the match.

"I thought until half time we were in the contest and then we got outworked in that second half," the 2018 premiership coach said.
"It probably showed those guys that have come into our footy club what TSL senior standard is like which is good.
"They were much better than us today which is exciting in one facet that we've got a bit to catch up on, so we're going to have to work hard to do that."
Having pulled two goals back in the second term, North fell away in the third as the Southern Bombers found consecutive goals from the influential Sam Burge and Henry Kerinaiua to take a seemingly insurmountable 25-point lead into the final break.
Back-to-back goals to brothers Matt and Ben McGuinness five minutes into the last put the result beyond doubt.
South Launceston recruit Jordan Tepper was one of few constant threats up forward for the Northern Bombers after Will Edmunds and Lachie Cocker looked lively in the first half, while Braden van Buuren had a superb first half in defence.
But it was Lauderdale skipper Bryce Walsh, making his return from greenkeeping in the US, who managed the drenched turf of UTAS Stadium better than anyone.
His second goal late in the final term summed up the day as the tough nut sold candy to a North defender on the arc before calmly stepping inside to goal on the run from 40m.
Lauderdale big man and player of the year contender Haydn Smith dominated the hit-outs as Alex Lee exited the game early, and with Bart McCulloch sitting out the last term North turned to the undersized pairing of Dakota Bannister and Tom Donnelly to man the ruck.
"When you're down two rotations it doesn't help," Whitford said.
"Bart was just a bit tight so we didn't want to risk him and Alex got a knock to the knee early doors so he basically didn't play any game time.
"It didn't help, but it probably didn't decide the game in the end.
"The third quarter we were within striking distance but couldn't get any territory in the third and our forward structures broke down which was disappointing."
Defender Jeremiah Perkins' report late in the game for a high tackle was the only blight on an otherwise impeccable Lauderdale win.
In the early game at Kingston Twin Ovals, Aiden Grace helped Glenorchy come from a goal behind at three-quarter time to overrun Kingborough 10.8 (68) to 7.13 (55).
