Trailing by 16 points nearing time on in the last term, the Parrots cut the margin to four points when Jake Nunn threaded his third goal from the boundary line.
Some superb play from Luke Duncan on the wing then set up Nick Milbourne to kick the final goal with a minute to go, giving Bridgenorth the lead for the first time and sealing a 10.9 (69) to 10.7 (67) victory.
"We didn't play great footy but we were lucky enough to play good footy in the last 10 minutes to come away with the win," Parrots coach Brady Demeijer said.
"We're definitely gunning for Longford so we've got to try to win every week to make sure we keep up with them."
HILLWOOD suffered some tense moments before severing a three-game losing streak with a three-point win over Deloraine.
In a game which would have pleased soccer purists no end, just four goals were scored in the first three quarters with Hillwood taking a 14-point buffer into the last.
A Dylan Schnoor-inspired Roos side hit back with two goals in the last and threw everything at the hosts before falling agonisingly short, 3.12 (30) to 3.9 (27).
LONGFORD made it five wins on the trot with a muddy if not routine victory over George Town.
In conditions better suited to smaller men and best suited to ducks, it was Country Tigers ruckman Michael Larby who shone with a best-on-ground performance.
Medium forward Lachlan Dakin (three majors) again topped the goalkickers after a six-goal bag last round, while star midfield trio Aaron Seen, Beau Thorp and Cam Gard worked hard at the coal face.
Jack Hulse and Zach Burt were George Town's best as the Saints crumbled to a 10.11 (71) to 3.1 (19) loss.
ROCHERLEA spoiled Charlie Archer's 100th game with an 8.13 (61) to 3.10 (28) win over Bracknell.
The Suburban Tigers held Bracknell goalless in the second and fourth terms to bolt to their fourth win of the season and push their claim for the fifth finals spot.
