The Huskies scored a 129-74 victory on Saturday night over Taranaki Mountaineers at the Silverdome, bettering a 16-point margin back in April against Super City Rangers.
Froling sounded out the Tasmanians after completing his Adelaide 36ers NBL commitments, but was unexpectedly hauled over to the US into a training centre after finding out he was eligible for the NBA draft pool.
The 21-year-old wanted to honour his commitment back to the New Zealand NBL club and was rapt to get back on court for Huskies.
"It's better late than never," Froling said. "It was really great to get out and finally get a game in and the win."
The monster 211cm centre scored 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.
At times, Froling fired up the crowd with backhanded assists, massive threes from well beyond the paint and finishing alley-oop passes.
But he was more content to blow the cobwebs out since last playing back in February.
"I've been over in America working out a lot and all that stuff that comes with it," Froling said. "But because I haven't played an organised game, it was good to get out."
Now Froling wants to shape the Huskies campaign.
"It's been a bit underwhelming for these guys," he said, "so if we can finish off strong, lead it into next year, get some more fans out for the next game, show what we're building and where the Huskies can go in the future, it will be a really good outcome."
