Man winched to safety in South West
A Westpac rescue helicopter was used to winch a Launceston man to safety after he became disoriented on a walk in the South West National Park the night of June 27.

The 20-year-old was located uninjured but disoriented on the northwestern side of Mount Eliza on the Mount Anne Track.
The man was airlifted to Hobart, Tasmania Police advise bushwalkers register distress beacons via the ASMA website.
