Public sector unions have currently imposed bans and limitations on certain work-related activities and are directing union members not to undertake certain duties, specifically in schools.
Such action includes not vacuuming and not emptying rubbish bins.

"Departmental officers are working closely with principals so we can identify and mitigate against work place health and safety hazards and a range of strategies are available to them to help maintain a safe and healthy environment," an Education Department spokesman said.
However, at this stage no contract cleaners have been engaged to do the work that cleaners have not done.
"We have a duty to ensure schools are safe places to work and learn and we will do whatever we need to in order to meet our obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act," the spokesman said.
"We are working hard to ensure safe and healthy workplaces and learning environments during this time."
