Police are investigating an aggravated armed robbery in the state's South which resulted in the theft of two motorbikes from a Clarendon Vale home early Sunday morning.

Three men forced their way into the residence at Clarendon Vale shortly after midnight, Tasmania Police said in a statement issued late Sunday.
The men then threatened the occupant with what police believe to be a gun before leaving with two motorbikes.

Minor damage was caused to the property, though no injuries resulted from the incident. Police have not yet located the offenders.
The stolen motorbikes are also yet to be located. One is described as a yellow Suzuki RM85 with "69" stickers on the front and sides, the other a yellow children's Suzuki JR50 with a blue seat.
Police are hoping to speak with anybody who may be able to assist them with their investigation.
