The home team just had no answers for Knox Raiders amid a sizeable 95-63 defeat over a tough weekend for last year's SEABL runners-up.
The game had parallels to an identical 32-point loss against Geelong Supercats in Friday night's road NBL1 trip.
The Tornadoes levelled at the first break again in back-to-back performances, this time with a 17-17 scoreline against the fancied Raiders.
But following a 18-point deficit in the second term at Geelong, Launceston again checked out to trail at the long break in a 23-13 quarter.
Things then went from bad to worse for the 3-12 side.
They hit arguably a new season-low, netting a meagre three points in the third term to enter the last 71-46.
The last-quarter finish to the contest ensured the Torns dropped a fifth game this year by more than 30 points.
The sour outing was hurt by Brittany Hodges pulling out on the eve of the clash, the night after returning from injury and scoring 12 points.
The New Zealander shot a superb 28 points and picked up 13 rebounds.
It was 23-year-old's third straight game that she has top-scored for the side.
Beck was only shaded by the overall brilliance of Lauren Scherf, who scored 27 points and had an incredible 23 rebounds for the Raiders.
Knox teammate Rebecca Ott hit a game-high 29 points.
The result contributed towards a bad night for Northern Tasmanian basketball.
North West Thunder suffered a 74-61 loss to Knox.
A 21-11 second term in favour of the Raiders cost the hosts any chance of the win amid three even quarters.
Thunder's Jordan Bowling shot a team-high 16 points and Lachlan Dent added 12.
