Melbourne-based duo The Merindas will be making their commanding stage-presence known at Tasmania's East Coast later this June for the Festival of Voices.

The Merindas is composed of vocalists Candice Lorrae and Kristel Kickett; the pair create a unique blend of synthetic rhythms and Indigenous culture.
The group said those attending their Festival of Voices performance should expect to a completely new and unique live music experience.
"We really want people to feel how we feel on stage when they come see our show, which is excited and full of life, so expect to party with us," They said.

Attendees of their concert at the Spring Bay Mill can expect to get a bit of a sneak peek at The Merindas' latest songs from their upcoming album featuring producer Jack Steele.
"All songs being performed in our show at FOV are from our upcoming album," the group said.
"The audience will be getting a sneak peek at the songs in their early stage before they get mixed and mastered later this year.
"It will be our very first album and a very exciting release."
The Merindas were featured on Triple J Unearthed in 2018.
They were also nominated for most promising new talent in music at the 2013 Deadly Awards in Perth and took the home the Indigenous Western Australia Music's song of the year award in 2015 for their single Ready to Love.
The pairing added that what makes them so different is the way they moved on stage and all costumes, songs and moves are made by them as curvy women who bring a lot of energy on stage.
"You don't see that too often so that's a big thing for us," they said.
As well as their own performances, the duo has accompanied a number of renowned Australian artists including Jessica Mauboy and Mojo Juju.
"We often get comments that our music empowers people and helps them feel confident in themselves," they said.
"We are all about body and female empowerment.
"This shines through our costuming, personality and energy that we bring to the stage."
As well as possessing powerful voices, The Merindas also take to the stage in their defining outfits.
"We think its a visual interpretation of how strong and beautiful women can be. Women can forget that and can easily self doubt their beauty and strength," the duo said.
"It helps us build confidence by wearing something that accentuates our true personalities. We fit to figure when we design our costumes and we love to go all out for stage it makes us feel like we are ready to attend a special party."
The Merindas will be performing at Spring Bay Mill on June 30 at 5pm, accompanied by Greg Wells and the Blackwater Band.
