The annual inter-school carnival featured nine of Launceston's catholic and independent schools as Scotch Oakburn College, Launceston Church Grammar School, Launceston Preparatory School, Launceston Christian School, St Thomas More's, St Anthony's, St Finn Barr's, Sacred Heart and Larmenier all took part with organiser Nick Stacey enforcing that participation was the key for the grade 3-6 event.
"It's an event that we really make sure we focus on participation just because of the different schools that have such different sizes," Stacey said
"Some schools might only bring two or three runners into each race when other schools will have their full team of six so generally it's Sacred Heart as the biggest school who tend to have the biggest depth and finish top of the pile."
