Learning Clubs around the country are funded by The Smith Family in an effort to help develop and grow academic skills.

"I feel like more kids should come, because it's a great learning experience," Lucy said. "It teaches things that you wouldn't normally learn in class."
Launceston program coordinator Kristy Venten said The Smith Family was raising funds through its Winter Appeal to put on these Learning Clubs across the country.
The Ravenswood Heights club was one of three in the Launceston area, with Invermay Primary and Waverley Primary also involved. The two other clubs focus on science and cooking.
