A FOREST
Approach A Forest and be handed a set of earplugs to wear as you enter the atrium. Why? You'll have to go inside to find out.

NIGHT MASS
Artists from around the world have descended on Hobart for Dark Mofo's multi-venue madness that is Night Mass.
This weekend's sold-out line-up includes Teto Preto, BADSISTA, Cashu, Empress Of, and Junglepussy.

NUDE SOLSTICE SWIM
Take a dip in the Derwent River to welcome the sun again after the longest night of the year.
Registration for participating in the swim have closed and over 1000 people are expected to take place in this year's swim.

DARK PATH
If you are going to do one thing at Dark Mofo this weekend - make it Dark Path.
The 4 kilometre trail of installations, featuring works by Julie Gough, Chris Henschke and Tony Oursler, winds from the Regatta Grounds past the old Beaumaris Zoo to finish at the Royal Botanical Gardens lit up in red.
Wear layers and bring a torch because sections of the path are uneven and unlit.

BURNING OF THE OGOH-OGOH
Dark Mofo's annual ritual of burning of an Ogoh-Ogoh will take place on the last day of the festival.
Festival-goers have from Wednesday until Sunday to write down their fears and add them to the Ogoh-Ogoh, which takes the shape of an endangered Tasmanian species - the swift parrot, at the Goods Shed at Macquarie Point.
The Ogoh-Ogoh will be paraded from Parliament Lawns to Macquarie Point to be burned and purged of the fears it contains.

ADP CONTAINER

Eat and drink

THE WINTER FEAST
A night out during Dark Mofo would not be complete without a stop at the Winter Feast.
Take your pick of of delicious treats from more than 70 stalls boasting different cuisines. A list of stallholders can be found here.

HENDRICK'S CONSERVATORY BAR
Take a rest stop in the Hendrick's Conservatory Bar, located in the Royal Botanical Gardens, during your walk along Dark Path.
Grab a hot gin punch as you enjoy the candle-lit conservatory before heading back onto the path.
Not a fan of gin? The bar is well stocked with other Tasmanian favourites and whisky lovers can head down the path to the Talisker Whisky Bar, located at the old Beaumaris zoo site.
IN THE HANGING GARDEN
Make sure to check out DarkLab's newly opened and entertainment precinct.
The new hub encompasses the Odeon Theatre, gig venue Altar, a beer garden with a number of tempting food trucks and a 24-hour cafe Pilgrim's Progress.
The precinct will remain open permanently after its launch at the start of the festival with a nightclub, High Altar, scheduled to open on the second floor in September.
