The development application from the Department of Education was approved in early June.
It's been over a year since the funding for the works were first announced by the state government, which happened on June 8, 2018.
The school will be upgrading their Early Childhood Education facilities and fencing, including the creation of new amenities.
There will be a new toilet for early years pupils, with internal/external access and compliant fencing.
The kindergarten site will be modernised, with new furniture and equipment.
The government has chipped in $280,000 to the project, part of $179 million in school infrastructure works across the state announced last June.
It's a striking turnaround from 2011, when there were fears the government would close the school of about 100 students.
