Rates have been set for a 2.75 per cent increase from the previous financial year.
This will equate to a $39 per year increase for average ratepayers.
General ratepayers, including those living in the Launceston Fire Brigade District can expect an increased minimum charge of $176, an increase of $5 from the previous year.
Waste management service rates will also include a number of increases in the next financial year.
For 85 litre garbage and recycling bins ratepayers will be charged $160 annually, an increase of $4 from last financial year.
Users of 140 litre bins will have an increase from $200 to $206 and 240 litre bin owners will now pay $280 rather than $273.

Changes are also being made to fire service levy rates.
Those within the district of the Launceston Fire Brigade will now pay 1.37 cents in the dollar of AAV.
Ratepayers in volunteer fire brigade districts including Beaconsfield and Legana will pay .393 cents in the dollar of AAV.
All fire levies minimum charges will increase from $40 to $41.
Interest and overdue rates will be 8.1 per cent per annum charged daily, a 1.5 per cent discount will apply to rates paid in full on or before September 30, 2019.
It is written in the West Tamar budget that a number of factors are considered when setting rates including annual assessed value [AAV] of properties as well as any council strategic and financial planning.
