The Bombers' dominance never looked challenged at UTAS Stadium after a goalless 18-minute opening.
The reigning TSL premiers built the win around defence and held the Blues to just a meagre two goals until halfway through the final term.
Only late shots on goal brought the visitors back to a 14.16 (100) to 4.7 (31) loss.
North Launceston coach Taylor Whitford applauded his side's ground pressure.
"I thought our defensive effort from the start of the game was just really good," Whitford said.
"To keep them to just two goals for a while and just four at the end of the game probably did set us up well.
"We were unable to get some territory later in the game, but we were able to just grind them down."
Launceston coach Mitch Thorpe had good reason to lock his players away in the rooms for a stern lecture straight after the unexpected lopsided result.
The Blues were hoping to break its 16-game losing streak that now dates way back to the 2013 season.
But Bombers captain Brad Cox-Goodyer nailed just as many goals as his rival's four.
Whitford put that all down to keeping it simple on his side's familiar home turf.
"We just played really just good basic footy tonight with the conditions," he said.
"We knew it was going to be slippery, so we had to keep it basic and our players were just good at that."
