A Moonah man who sustained a buttock injury during a targeted police raid in the state's South on Wednesday has appeared before a bedside court.

The 29-year-old has been charged with multiple offences, including trafficking in a controlled substance, unlawfully trafficking in firearms, recklessly discharging a firearm, possessing stolen firearms and carrying a firearm with intent to commit a crime.
The man, who remains in the Royal Hobart Hospital, appeared before a magistrate at a bedside hearing at midday Friday and was remanded in custody.
He is due to reappear in the Hobart Magistrates Court via video link on July 8.

Operation Gold was carried out by more than 100 police officers in a coordinated search of nine properties in the state's South on Wednesday.
Detective Inspector Kate Chambers said the operation had sent a clear message.
"The response from the community following Operation Gold reinforces to me that the very good work undertaken by members of Tasmania Police in order to make Tasmania the safest state in the country is both supported and appreciated," she said.
