High school students had the opportunity to try their hands at cupcake decorating, coffee making, mocktail mixing, and tourism research at the campus' Tourism and Hospitality Showcase on Friday.
Drysdale education manager David Dunn said the showcase gave students an idea of what a career in those fields would be like.
"In Tasmania, tourism and hospitality are two huge growth areas - you've got the Gorge Hotel going up just down here from us, there's hotels going up everywhere in Hobart, and there's predictions that these sectors will be about 1200 jobs short in the next 18 months," he said.
"I just think there's so many opportunities."
