Kirsten Ritchie, founder of Strike It Out, Feeding the Homeless Launceston, is calling on the community to raise $60,000 to buy 40 capsule sleeping pods.
The pods would be set up for homeless people, ideally on a property out of town.

At the fundraiser, $5 from every $35 ticket sold will go to the sleeping pods drive.
To participate, all you have to do is sit down and let the staff at the Metz bring you wood-fired Italian pizza and pasta until you can't fit in any more.
Head to the Metz at 5.30pm or 7.30pm on Tuesday, and book your place through Eventbrite.
