Catch Energy plans to bring competitively priced electricity plans to Tasmania in partnership with 1st Energy, online retailer Catch Group chief executive Nati Harpaz said.
"Despite the government's introduction of Full Retail Competition in 2014, Tasmania only had, until very recently, one electricity provider - which eliminated choice for those who reside in the state," Mr Harpaz said.
"...we are pleased to be able to offer Tasmanians more choice and even greater value, helping to ease the financial pressure that many households face due to soaring energy prices."

"It's just another way we are helping Australians to save on the family budget; we provide the same electricity through the same network, just at a lower price," he said.
Catch Energy is available for electricity customers in Tasmania, Victoria, NSW and south-east Queensland.
