All 21 trees will be protected by a metal tree guard - five will be located in the roadway. However no changes to vehicle access or car parking are proposed.
A number of species are flagged for use including an ornamental pear tree, along with two maples.
In a letter displayed with the application, senior planning consultant Rebecca Green wrote that the works were consistent with the council's planning scheme and should be considered for approval.
