Participating in the Northern Tasmanian Softball Association, the Eagles picked up the club championship award last season off the back of winning all three grand finals and with the $2115 grant from Giving4Grassroots, the thriving club will look to buy equipment for its academy boot camps.
The Giving4Grassroots program targets and funds projects such as the Eagles' academy that are aimed at increasing grassroots participation regardless of ability or background.
Focusing on females in sport, inclusion and diversity, the sports foundation saw the club's program as one that ensured growth within softball.
Sports foundation chief executive Patrick Walker said the grant will make a positive impact to Eagles Softball Club and to the wider community.
"This grant will provide Eagles Softball Club with more opportunities for active sports participation within the local community," Walker said.
"Sport is the common language of our country, and this grant is an important step towards more locals participating in sport and leading a more active and healthier lifestyle."
The Eagles ran their inaugural club camp in November and with the grant's help, will look to continue this in the future.
