Taking place on Sunday, the community braved crisp weather to rally behind the event.
St Helens District High School Association secretary Amanda Lovell said it was a great day for the school and community, and despite it being a while since the last fair, it was heartening to see so many people come out in support.
"All our student stalls sold out, we had fabulous support for all our craft activities, our students performed in choirs and the highlight was the upcycled fashion show and crowning of Winter King, Winter Queen, Snow Teen and Snow Child," she said.
"The atmosphere was wonderful, everyone was relaxed and enjoying themselves and students had the chance to share their school with family, friends and the wider community.
"We had plenty of visitors from outside our region as well which was fantastic."
The fair boasted classics such as a bake sale, arts and crafts, trash and treasure, and face painting. But, some exciting additions included a wellness centre, a community showcase featuring the St Helens Marine Rescue, Tasmania Fire Service, and Tasmania Police, and a creative hub with workshops and hands-on activities.
Ms Lovell said though they hadn't had a chance to finish counting, sales on the day were great with several hundred people estimated to have come through the gates.
"We're hopefully raising several thousand dollars for the school which will go back into improvements for students," she said.
Ms Lovell thanked the town's business community for its support, and all of the volunteers who worked tirelessly to help make the event happen.
"It was a triumph and showed again what a great community this is," she said.
Also taking place at the fair was the Bay For Fires Arts Market, where makers had an opportunity to showcase their wares.
Though held at the school the market was part of the Bay of Fires Winter Arts Festival, which ran June 8 to 10 across the East Coast.
