While Lino Sciulli's City side picked up their third win in four games at Glenorchy, there was more Windsor Park misery for Olympic who have still failed to pick up a point at home this season.

Mackenzie Hancox was the solitary scorer at KGV, latching on to a Noah Mies assist just before the break to claim his first senior goal and delight his coach.

"I love all my wins," Sciulli said. "It's a very good win because Glenorchy are such a good club. We knew we were up against it."

Sciulli was just as happy with his team's clean sheet and heaped praise on his back four.

"I build my game around defence. If you don't concede any goals you can't lose. We held on and did really well, it was a pretty good effort."

Mathew Nowicki came closest for the Knights with a shot which struck the crossbar.

While Riverside again went pointless at home, Alex Gaetani urged his players and club to keep looking at the bigger picture.

"It is difficult for everyone but we've got to think of the future," he said.

"These times will only hold us in good stead further down the line and we will be in a better place next year and after that if the club sticks together and understands that this is a bottom four side trying to do the right thing.

"We've just got to rise above it. Technically, we outplayed them today but did not get the win."

The only goal came on the hour when a half-cleared corner fell to Cam Steele who fired in from the edge of the box.

Roos skipper Ethan Olner again stood tall with a series of timely blocks and tackles allowing Argentinian playmaker Luca Vigilante to orchestrate proceedings in front of the defence.

Jez Kenth provided a familiar face in the visiting dugout, returning to the region where he spent last season coaching Launceston City. The newly-appointed Lions coach was pleased to back up a narrow loss to champions Devonport with his first win at the club.

"I'm happy with the clean sheet and that we limited them to three or four chances," he said.

"We pushed Devonport all the way last week and got the win today, I can't ask for more than that. It's good to be back up in Launceston, it's a second home for me."
