A Kallum Kubicki four-goal performance ensured Zach Burt's and Tom Bennett's forward reunion wasn't a victorious one as NWFL accounted for NTFA 15.15 (105) to 11.10 (71).

The Wynyard small forward was dangerous throughout the entirety of the representative game and kicked a goal a quarter in the North West win.
Despite the performance, Dylan Smith edged out Kubicki for the NWFL's best on ground, collecting plenty of ball through the back and middle of the ground to collect the honour.
Captain Nick McKenna also staked a possible claim for the award with a three-goal performance including the final nail in the coffin for his North West side as former North Launceston player Beau Sharman and Chris McDonald also claimed multiple goals for the victors.
OTHER NTFA REPRESENTATIVE NEWS
With the third quarter often called the 'premiership' one in football, Saturday's representative match could not have applied more.
As the NTFA kicked the first goal of the second quarter through Tom Bennett, the ball was held in the North West forward 50 but through the defensive work of Thane Bardenhagen, Geoff Mohr, Corey Nankervis and Jake Pearce, they held strong and counterattacked for a trademark Zach Burt snap to extend NTFA's lead.
NTFA looked dangerous but from there, their opponents rallied for four unanswered goals including a Chris McDonald dribble from the right forward pocket which started the North West highlight reel.
With the result evenly-poised at the main break, Brett Plant's North-West men made the premiership quarter their own with a six-goal to one performance making the Northern supporters nervous.
As Kallum Kubicki nailed his fourth and extended the lead to beyond three goals, the win was slowly slipping from the North's grasp and after key misses to Jackson Blair and Burt, an eerie feeling fell over Invermay Park.
McKenna made the pain worse before the NWFL held play for several minutes, broken by a Lochy Dornauf mark that should be viewed by all football fans sparked a Mark Walsh goal to bring NTFA within four majors.
Apart from Allan O'Sign adding to the fourth quarter highlight reel with a snap in front of the Old Launcestonians bar, the NTFA struggled to keep up with the North West in the end.
Hillwood's Pearce was prolific across the half-back for NTFA, claiming intercept marks and leading the defenders to pick up NTFA's best player.
Former troublesome North Launceston pair Burt and Bennett combined for five goals between them with George Town's Burt kicking three while Deloraine's sole representative Dornauf provided highlight reel entertainment in a flashy performance which caught coach Anthony Taylor's eye.
Despite the 34-point loss, Taylor was pleased with the effort.
"I thought we certainly put up a really good effort," he said.
"Our intensity and tackle pressure was outstanding but we let ourselves down with some finishing skills which I'm sure if we could've nailed right, we might've closed the scoreboard a bit more."
Taylor credited the work of Pearce, Dornauf, Cody Linger, Tom Broadhurst, Callum Mulder in the loss and thought the crowd of 1603 was "fantastic".
"I would love to have played these guys on a bigger ground but the atmosphere here was great and it shows that rep footy is still strong.
"I hope the crowd sees we put on a reasonable performance but they were just too good."
