Vegans
TRACY Ditchburn (The Examiner, June 4) obviously you are so set in your vegan ways, you cannot or did not read my letter properly.

My criticism was not with your cause, but your method of delivery. Your rights do not included breaking the law.
Terrorism, bullying, theft, disrupting traffic. There is a law against cruelty to animals, and also stand over methods.
To trespass and threaten in numbers a farmer on his property, steal his animals is terrorism and a horrendous act.
Farmers feed Australia and are now struggling with drought. The restaurant invasion in large numbers, standing over meat eating diners was a disgusting attack on liberty and freedom of choice.
Vegans resent display, even irked the Prime Minister of Australia causing the threat of prosecution.
Your obvious shameful support of law breaking is questionable. Our society provides us to freely live our chosen lives within the law.
Peter Doddy, Trevallyn.
Folau
YET another letter in The Examiner condemning Israel Folau.
Maybe all these people would like us to be like China and other countries where Christianity is banned completely, where you cannot speak the word of God even to your children.
Where Christians are persecuted in many different ways. If that is what all you people who are condemning Israel Folau for using God's word to warn people want, go ahead and live in China or other countries that ban Christianity, you certainly will not be able to speak your mind on any subject.
You call his words "hate speech" when what it is, is God's word that he has quoted.
Words to warn you to follow Jesus and be safe from the woe to come. Romans 3:23 says all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God, and Romans 6:23 has a wonderful big "but" the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God does not condemn us to eternal punishment, we condemn ourselves by not believing our gracious Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Veronica Davies, Beaconsfield.
Climate Change
I WOULD like to congratulate The Examiner on embracing the topic of climate change. It was only a few short years ago that this newspaper printed a regular column from a climate change denier, ignoring the public interest in the most important issue of our time. There is much to do from the perspective of individual responsibility, but more importantly we need all levels of government to use the levers at their disposal to turn the tide on carbon emissions.
Councillor Andrea Dawkins, Trevallyn.
Church?
Have you done enough and what more are you going to do to really help the victims of the church? Similar questions could be posed to other institutions regarding their responses to abuse. We should also recognise that abuse has occurred outside institutional settings.
Mark Webb, Launceston.
