We appreciate the support from Northern clubs this year, it has been outstanding with Bicheno, Riverside and Mowbray in particular assisting with the hosting of finals.
Full pennant results are available at www.northerngolf.com.au
The North versus North-West shields all went west this year with Smithton overcoming Prospect Vale in the Elphinstone Shield, Penguin beating Scamander River in the Watterson Shield and Wynyard dispatching Launceston to claim the Carmie Conroy Shield.
All matches were very close and resulted in 3-2 victories. The division one result was reversed in the women's state final when Prospect Vale had a comfortable 4-1 victory over Smithton.
In an ironic twist both divisions two and three results were also reversed with the state pennant flags both coming north to Scamander River and Launceston.
Men's state flags went to Royal Hobart in division one, Royal Hobart doubled up in division two over Launceston 4-3 and Launceston claimed division three over Huon Valley by four games to three.
