All-rounder Nicola Carey and bowler Belinda Vakarewa have been named in the Ashes and Australia 'A' squads respectively for their side's tours of England.
Both making the move to Tasmania from New South Wales this season, the pair are highly fancied within cricketing circles and add to the promising feel around the Tigers' side.
Carey already has six one-day international and a solitary T20 international cap to her name and will be looking to add to those as a member of the 14-player squad for the Australians defense of cricket's greatest prize.
The Australia 'A' tour produces a major opportunity for Vakarewa as, running alongside the Ashes tour, players from the squad can be promoted to international duties if form or injury permit, which could result in an international debut.
