Organisers knew knew they had broken crowd records before the gates closed on Saturday afternoon, Midlands Agricultural Association vice president Louisa Street said.
"We've had record numbers. I think it was great. After last year - last year was a big success," she said.

The agricultural show is in its 181st year included entrants from Tasmania and the mainland for a number of competitions.
Saturday's Australian Wool Innovation Fashion Parade and the Dachshund Dash ensured the crowds continued into the second day.
"We've had our best attendance yet. It's a big thank you to everyone for coming and supporting the show," Ms Street said.
