Following the death of former Melbourne forward, Brad Green's wife, Anna, on Monday, the Saints will sport a black armband to support the Green family.
George Town's coach Allan O'Sign said the loss is huge for the George Town community.
"[Anna's passing] is something that hasn't been spoken about that much internally but a lot of people obviously knew her and we will be honouring their loss with black armbands and supporting her family," he said.
"They are two people who are significant within our community so it's a sad loss."
Marrying in 2013, the pair met as children in Northern Tasmania and had two children together with the Green family releasing a statement confirming the fashion design blogger's passing.
"It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm the passing of beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend Anna Green," the statement read.
"Anna suffered a cardiac arrest last week and passed away peacefully at lunch time yesterday surrounded by her immediate family.
"The family would like to thank the committed medical team at the intensive care unit at Melbourne's Alfred Hospital and would now ask for privacy as they come to terms with their loss."
