Tasmania's under-25 state squad has been unveiled ahead of a one-off representative clash with Victoria Metro in Launceston early next month.

The 30-man squad is headlined by Southern players with Lauderdale boasting 10 representatives and Glenorchy seven, while Launceston and North Launceston have eight between them.
"We have assembled a strong squad with a mix of speed, height and grunt," under-25 Devils coach Jamie Hayward said.
"We have tailored our selections to pick a squad that we feel can match it with the dynamic skill and speed that we can expect from this Victoria Metro side."

An initial shortlist was compiled by TSL clubs and regional talent managers before being whittled down to 30 following training sessions at either end of the state.
Hayward said AFL recruiters would be present on the day, giving both under-25 and under-18 Devils players the chance to show their wares.
"This representative match is a great opportunity for these young guns to not only represent their state, but to also showcase their talents on a big stage," Hayward said.
"We have had fantastic buy-in from players and clubs and can see that the opportunity to represent the Tasmania Devils is a cherished one for all involved.
"Tassie footy fans have plenty to look forward to, with the state's best young talent representing two Tasmanian teams on the day and hopefully a number of fellow Tasmanians representing the Allies as well," Hayward said.
Hayward will speak to media later today.
