Through the Drought Communities Programme, the Break O'Day Council is offering employment opportunities to stimulate the region and support infrastructure projects within the community.
The program supports communities in drought stricken areas of the country through providing funds for infrastructure projects, boosting employment, and addressing the needs of the community.
Nationals MHR Barnaby Joyce announced the municipality was successful in receiving the funding in March.
The council is seeking candidates with experience in manual labour and trades, predominantly from the Fingal Valley area.
A series of projects have been developed including walking track upgrades and maintenance, building construction projects, civil construction projects for the successful candidates to work on. The projects will include duties such as skilled manual work and the use of tools and manual equipment.
The positions require candidates to have excellent health and to be physically capable of carrying out a range of duties.
