The Fish and Chip awards is an Australia-wide event supporting businesses and celebrating excellence in the cuisine.
Fraggle's Fish and Chips at Invermay was in the top 10 of the national competition, and was coming in first in the Tasmanian competition.
In The Examiner's poll, unsurprisingly, Fraggle's led the charge, with 19.17 per cent of readers voting it their number one.
Following was Skippers Floating Fish Shop at St Helens at 13.99 per cent, George Town Seafoods at 8.29 per cent, Seaz Takeaway at Newnham at 7.25 per cent, and the Prospect Fish Shop at 6.63 per cent.
About 200 readers participated.
