Port Adelaide Cheer Squad president Ian Wilson said he came from Adelaide while others travelled from Melbourne, the ACT and NSW for the game.
"It's an opportunity to travel, and we'll be travelling for the next three weeks," Mr Wilson said.
"It's always fun to come down to Launceston and hopefully win today.
"The fans flock from everywhere to come and support the team."

Mr Wilson said Port Adelaide have played quite a few games in Launceston in the early 2000s - he said the crowds down in Tasmania are always welcoming.
"They've [Hawks fans] been pretty sociable so far, it's always good fun to play down here," Mr Wilson said.
"I reckon we've [Port Adelaide] got a 50/50 chance to win, we'll see what the weather does as well."
