This year's parade will be particularly special as it will honour Christopher Horne for dedicating 20 years to being the event's fashion director.
His contribution will be remembered through the Christopher Horne Woman in Wool award which will make its debut at this year's parade.
Taylor Clyne will succeed Mr Horne, she said it was scary running the show for the first time but was also excited to be taking on such an amazing experience.
"I worked with Chris for many years so it's a big honour to take the next step and keep growing the show," Ms Clyne said.
In other news:
A number of national and international wool businesses will display their wares at the event, including local creations by the Tasmanian Wool Centre, Kachoo and Coco Blue.
Ms Clyne said particular trends to notice this year included earthy and autumn tones such as mustard, oranges and browns contrasted with brighter additions like pinks and speckles.
"Each item gracing the catwalk aboard the lovely legs of our Tasmanian models has been carefully curated to best showcase the present fashion with designers using your wool," Ms Clyne said.
"The clothes speak for themselves; a mix of textures, fabrics and colours.
"I'm too thrilled to welcome new Tasmanian designer La Robe de Chambre; Ellie's silhouette linen silk coats will be layered over many woolly delights."
