Personalised video messages will be sent to 10,000 Hawks fans from the mainland showing highlights of Northern Tasmania that can be enjoyed for those coming to watch the game against Port Adelaide this Saturday.
Tourism Northern Tasmania chief executive Chris Griffin said it was essential to give interstate fans compelling reasons to visit Launceston for games.
Highlights shown include the Cataract Gorge, Harvest Market, the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery and the region's rich wine culture.
State manager for Hawthorn David Cox said with such a successful history of Hawks games in Launceston, tapping into the interstate fans will further benefit Northern Tasmania.
"Hawthorn's match days in Launceston generated almost $30 million last year," he said.
"Pitching a Tasmanian weekend footy escape to our Melbourne members we hope will contribute even more to the local economy."
