Mark Dance came up with Rocketeer when he found people living nearby were able to respond faster when he needed a courier.
"Crowdsourcing is the future for deliveries. It is rocket-fast, cheaper and available seven days a week, 24 hours a day," Mr Dance said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Rocketeer, which started in Hobart, has more than 200 registered drivers, 60 of which are active at any one time.
"When people need an item moving between two locations, they simply select the size vehicle required for the delivery, get a fixed-price quote, and a Rocketeer driver will head out for the pick up within minutes."
With so many active drivers online at once Rocketeer offers a one-hour delivery guarantee where geographically possible.
