An autumn rumble was held at Strathmore House near Evandale on Sunday.
Organiser Sue Gillon said the small committee had only decided to do host the event about five days before.
"We knew there was some rain coming and as soon as that happens you lose the autumn leaves," Ms Gillon said.
While the number of attendees wasn't what they had hoped for, they were very happy with the amount of people that attended.
"We were delighted with the amount of people that came at such late notice. And, there was a lot of interest about the gardens," she said.
Those that attended enjoyed scones and cups of tea, and had a "seemingly lovely day".
Ms Gillon said it was financially a great result.
The church has been doing upgrades to its hall.
