A super impressive North Launceston has continued a strong start to its maiden TSLW campaign on Saturday, recording emphatic back-to-back wins at UTAS Stadium.
The Bombers returned to the winners' list, scoring a 11.10 (76) to 2.3 (15) against Tigers after slamming on the opening eight goals of the one-sided contest.
The coach walked away feeling content despite their Kingborough rivals taking control of the play late in their forward half, with two of the last three goals.
"I am pretty happy. We shifted them around a fair bit, so I wasn't too concerned about the finish," he said.
"We did want to finish off well, but we've thrown a few girls that have never played in the backline and they didn't do too bad of a job.
"It was more about seeing what they could do from our point to know who could play where and what they could do for later in the season."
Captain Jodie Clifford and Maggie Cuthbertson led the side around the ground, while ruck Sophie Townsend and Sarah Radford were big improvers in week three.
Jade Maynard-Jones was another to impress Smith up forward with two goals.
"I thought Kingborough fought it out very well," he said. "So I was really pleased with our girls and I think there is more positives signs out there three weeks in."
North Launceston is set to be sorely tested on the road against reigning premiers Glenorchy next week.
