This follows an analysis by the Australia Institute which suggested two of the six seats for Tasmania would come down to competition between the Liberals, Greens, One Nation and Jacqui Lambie.
The analysis predicted Liberal and Labor would each win two seats and Clive Palmer's United Australia Party would win none.
Mr McKim said the polls were showing it would be a close run in the Senate, particularly between the Greens and One Nation for the final two seats.
"The polls are showing they are a threat this time and we are taking nothing for granted," Senator McKim said.
"We just held our seat by 141 votes from One Nation last time and the polls are showing the best way to keep One Nation out of the Senate is to vote Greens.
"We're the political antidote for One Nation - we stand for everything they oppose."
One Nation lead Senate candidate Matthew Stephen said the Tasmanian One Nation team has received great feedback from voters at pre-polling booths, however, they knows that, as the underdog, they must fight for every vote.
"If Tasmanians want to avoid a repeat of the past and truly stop the Greens and their so-called "independent" mates (Ms Lambie and Mr Garland) in the Senate - then take out insurance and vote for One Nation in the Senate," Mr Stephen said.
