After a five-week campaign - but effectively a year of campaigning from both parties - Bass voters will find out whether Labor or the Liberals have won their seat.
The Examiner will have reporters on the ground in the camps of Labor's Ross Hart and Liberal candidate Bridget Archer to report live from 6.30pm as results start to come in.
We will also have reporters watching Tasmania's other seats, including Braddon and Lyons, and the hotly-costed Senate race where a wide field of candidates are confident of securing their seats.
Bass may be on 5.4 per cent for Labor, but its history of delivering unpredictable results could continue.
It just depends whether that is known tonight, or if voting is so close that it can't be called until later on.
