Under-19s coach and club stalwart Dannie Carstens is coming out of retirement since playing the 2015 grand final to assist the defence for three weeks as illness, injury and absences all reduces the core playing group to five.
Coach Dan Roden said Carstens will continue in her coaching role with several of her under-19 players also stepping up to fill the void.
With maximum points from six games, the Cavaliers play a youthful Karana side in Hobart on Sunday, following the Tassie Magpies ANL match.

"The team's steely determination to win under pressure, demonstrated by three one-goal wins, will be severely tested in the next few weeks," Roden said.
Joint vice-captain Dana Lester added: "Despite missing several key players, the game plan doesn't change and we'll be looking to use our speed and strong defensive pressure to remain undefeated."
A fortnight after becoming one of the Cavaliers' one-point victims, Northern Hawks also head south, coming off the bye to face Arrows in a pivotal second-versus-third clash.
