The musical, which shows the frightening family's adjustment to their teenage daughter's choice of a normal boyfriend, is many of the stars' first experience of a black comedy.
"To do this sort of dark production has been very different for us - but we've given it our all," said Imogen Wall, who plays Wednesday.
"We've had to learn to engage with that dark humour, and to still have a personality without being bright and bubbly."
Forty-five students from Grades 10 to 12 are in the cast, as well as those performing as part of the live orchestra and behind-the-scenes.
The Addams Family is on at the Assembly Hall, Launceston Church Grammar School, Mowbray Heights, at 7pm from May 15 - 16. Tickets cost $18 for adults and $10 for students, through trybooking.
