The 155-gamer, whose career included a three-game foray at Carlton, headlines the lunch with Dan Walker set to be MC for the event named in president John Hosken's honour.
Representing the Magpies during the 1980s and 90s, McGuane was one of Collingwood's best players in the drought-breaking 1990 grand final and won their best and fairest on consecutive occasions.
McGuane has a storied history with Tasmanian football as he made his coaching debut for Burnie in 2000 and was successful in leading the Dockers to an unbeaten premiership the next year.
The luncheon coincides with the Bulldogs' crucial round six clash with Longford and will be held at midday.
Tickets are $60 a head and can be bought via the club's Facebook page.
