Newstead College tasted success as one of their three teams came home victorious at the Launceston school futsal titles at the Silverdome.
Coached by staff member Charlie Jeong, the team showed their domination in an 8-1 grand final result, which was a reward for their hard work and proved they were the best side throughout the day
Health and physical education teacher at the College, Jon Atkins was incredibly pleased with the result and praised the boys on their effort.
"It was a credit to the students how they maintained their composure and sportsmanship to win the game," Atkins said.
All of the players involved played well against some high quality teams from various colleges in the North of the state, with the Southern finals having been played earlier in the year.
Supported by the Brazilian exchange students from the College, the team had somewhat of a home ground advantage with the crowd providing vocal support for their schoolmates as they took home the win.
